Dwight’s love of the outdoors began growing up in rural Maine and working in state park systems as a teenager. Following that interest in the outdoors, Dwight became a wildlife biologist where he worked across Canada and Coastal Maine. In the early 2000’s a switch in careers from biology to technology brought Dwight to Nova Scotia, where his enthusiasm for sea kayaking began. Dwight has been with Committed to the Core Sea Kayak Coaching since 2016 where he leads Paddle Canada Level 1 and 2 programs, in addition to kayak rolling, surfing, rockhopping, navigation and rough water programs. Dwight’s passion is instruction and fostering confidence in new paddlers and enabling experienced paddlers to further their skills. BOFSKS 2025 will be Dwight’s fourth Bay of Fundy Sea Kayak Symposium and he looks forward to sharing some of Nova Scotia’s amazing paddling opportunities with you.
