Genna Dauphinee is a passionate sea kayaker and instructor based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her journey into kayaking began at the age of five through a local kids’ program at East Coast Outfitters, where her father also served as a coach. This early introduction blossomed into a lifelong dedication to the sport, with countless hours spent on the water honing her skills and sharing memorable adventures with her family. Genna’s experiences have taken her to diverse coastal environments, including a memorable expedition in Witless Bay, Newfoundland, where she encountered puffins and humpback whales up close. These adventures have deepened her appreciation for marine ecosystems and the importance of environmental stewardship. She is excited to contribute to the 2025 Bay of Fundy Sea Kayak Symposium, bringing her enthusiasm and knowledge to fellow paddlers in one of the world’s most dynamic tidal environments.
