From 2014 onward, Gudni led groups through some of Iceland’s most remote and stunning regions, including the Hornstrandir Nature Reserve and the Glacier Fjords. His passion for expedition paddling began with a solo circumnavigation of Iceland in 2013—an unforgettable journey that shaped his understanding of the sea, weather, and himself. In 2015, he was part of a four-person team that attempted to circumnavigate Ireland, an experience that deepened his appreciation for communication and teamwork on and off the water.
As a guide, Gudni was deeply committed to safety and fostering a strong team dynamic among paddlers. He believed in shared decision-making and collective learning, creating experiences that were not only adventurous but also deeply rewarding for everyone involved.
